Medical telehealth firm MediView XR recently completed a round of Series A funding, totalling $9.9 million USD, to boost the company’s surgical navigation platforms.
Funding for the immersive medical solution would allow “several exciting imaging and therapy integration opportunities,” the firm’s President and Chief Executive, Mina Fahim, said at the time.
Medical Metaverse solution provider XRHealth announced last week it had partnered with Taiwanese XR giant HTC VIVE to launch its Focus 3 and Flow Health platforms.
The new solution will allow hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and patients to access vital telehealth tools capable of improving quality care with remote consultations, goal tracking, and immersive health and wellness tools.
XR Today spoke with several AR firms to learn more about the role of augmented solutions and how they can benefit end-users in key sectors across the industry.
Representatives of Qualcomm, Arvizio, and Singulos Research shared with audiences their creative solutions, which aim to greatly benefit global XR ecosystems and build new products for the market.
Drone provider RUAS and tech firm Heliguys teamed up last week for a photogrammetry project aimed at digitising Britain’s acclaimed Angel of the North statue in Gateshead.
The partnership employed the former’s DJI M300 RTK drones and the latter’s P1 cameras to gather over 2,000 aerial photos of the statue, allowing audiences 360-degree views of the iconic sculpture.
IT consultancy firm Accenture launched a ‘Metaverse Continuum’ last week to host a trove of digital solutions, including many virtual worlds, digital assets, and resources.
The announcement follows a fresh report on emerging technologies such as XR, digital twins, blockchain, edge computing, and others, as well as a comprehensive survey of 4,600 global firms and tech leaders revealing massive support for greater use cases across the sector.
