50 years ago: The Altoona Area School District television station KVQ 25 was serving the district’s 26 public schools with more than 14,000 elementary, junior high and high school students as a supplemental teaching tool. Assistant school district superintendent Dr. Ardell L. Feeley said the station would be evaluated next month.
