For the past month, dozens of Warren County youth have been busy on stages, building sets and singing their hearts out in preparation for the All-County Musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
This week, those efforts pay off. The musical will be performed 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, all at Warren Area High School.
Twenty-nine high schools will perform on the stage while sets and other hardware have been constructed by students at the Warren County Career Center. And this year, more than 50 children in kindergarten through eighth grades will be in a Junior Choir that will be part of the show.
Tickets are available at the Warren Area High School auditorium box office from 5 to 7 p.m. and at the door for two hours before each performance. Ticket sales are cash-only and tickets are $12 for students and seniors and $15 for adults.
Every sports season has a major event or two — homecoming for football, senior night for many of the other varsity sports.
This week, our students who excel in drama and music take center stage, no pun intended.
To the cast and crew, break a leg.
