Video of Nathan MacKinnon on the ice could be good news for Avs – 104.3 The Fan

On Tuesday, there was concern about the status of the Avalanche’s best player. Nathan MacKinnon, a perennial Hart Trophy candidate, was sent home from Calgary with an upper body injury that Jared Bednar deemed worthy of a “high” level of concern.
It led to speculation that the center was injured in a third-period fight with Matt Dumba on Sunday. That led to discussions about whether or not the All-Star should be engaged in fisticuffs at all, even if the Wild defenseman was deserving of a few right hooks.
Now, it looks like maybe all of the consternation was for naught. MacKinnon was the ice today at Family Sports Center, where the Avalanche practice. He was skating and taking shots on goal.
Did he look 100 percent? Well, here’s video to judge:

Does this mean the Avalanche and MacKinnon dodged a bullet? Not necessarily. But things are certainly more positive now than they were 24 hours ago.
