Attention students – Good news, bad news. Due to construction the Sheehan lot will soon lose a few parking spaces. Beginning this week, part of the Sheehan lot will be marked off limits with construction tape. Now the good news: students will gain more spots between the Communication Arts Building and the Auditorium. A reminder to all students who park on campus: you must have a parking pass displayed in your front windshield and you must park in a designated spot. Those who park illegally on campus will be jugged and repeat offenders may be towed.
Amid the continued chaos of Covid and a Russian invasion of the Ukraine, does anyone remember Mayfield, Kentucky? Just a few short months ago, a tornado wiped most of the town off the Earth. Hundreds of families are still without homes or more than the basic survival necessities. Want a REAL Spring Break trip this year and a chance to do some good in the world? Mr. Budniak is organizing a 3-day trip in April to Mayfield to provide relief and work efforts for Trinity folks who can help. Places are limited. Please see Mr. Budniak for details and registration!
Submit to the Axiom! A select few students will be selected for gift cards for their contributions. Any piece of art – drawing, painting, photography, writing, video, music, or anything else is good to submit. Find the page on Trinity.Rocks.

The Kentucky Derby RoboRumble will be held on Saturday, May 14. The RoboRumble features 3 different competitive events including SumoBot, Robotics Use, and Live Programming. Students can compete by themselves or with a team of other students and are e all done using Lego Mindstorm EV3 robots. In the past Trinity students have competed in the Sumobots and Live Programming competitions. In the Live Programming event, your team enters the contest room with a laptop and their base robot. You receive a list of challenges and tasks and have to adjust your robot and write the program to perform each task. Points are given for completing each task, for using different sensors, and for completing the tasks in the shortest period of time. The SumoBot event involves 2 robots in a circular ring, with the goal being to disable and push the opposing robot out of the ring. The Robotic Use event focuses on creating a robot that either is a transformation of another item or transforms the way you do a task. The teams are judged based on a defined rubric. Each of the 3 years before Covid, Trinity brought home the first-place trophy in the high school division of the Live Programming event! If you are interested in participating in this year’s RoboRumble, see Mrs. Mason in the Technology Center, or send her an email : mason@trinityrocks.com.
