The Kashmir Files has gone on to become one of the most commercially and critically successful films of 2022. We have seen many Bollywood A-listers such as Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Aamir Khan, and others showering praises on the film. The latest to join the bandwagon is Sanjay Dutt. At a KGF: Chapter 2 press conference, Sanjay spoke about The Kashmir Files (TKF) and revealed that he hasn’t watched the film yet but called it a ‘good film’.
Sanjay Dutt will soon be seen in Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2. The film releases on April 14, 2022. Before the flick sees the light of the day, Sanjay spoke about Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files at a press conference in Delhi. When asked about TKF, Sanjay shared that he hasn’t watched the film but he feels it’s a good film. He also said that he knows the director of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri. He said, “I’ll watch the film and report back to you.”
The Kashmir Files is based on the life of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. The film is a true story, based on video interviews of the first generation victims of The Kashmir Genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community. It’s a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits which also questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.
KGF: Chapter 2 releases nationwide on April 14, 2022. The film will be made available to the audience in five languages – Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. KGF has been written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. KGF is being presented in North-Indian markets by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and AA Films.
