We&#039;ve received your submission.\t<br \/>A 73-year-old grandmother was killed during a horrific carjacking in New Orleans when her arm and clothes were ripped off after she got stuck by the seatbelt as the attackers drove off, authorities said.<br \/>Linda Frickey was carjacked by four teens about 1:30 p.m. Monday as she was leaving a business in New Orleans\u2019 Mid-City neighborhood, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwltv.com\/article\/news\/crime\/woman-dragged-to-death-in-mid-city-carjacking-manhunt-on-for-suspects\/289-38ce9ddc-5bef-4546-ac4b-d49e76a163b0?fbclid=IwAR1rOKsyx6Bkb5BHfjTfx2iGego_1DzvjuLkPyH5yq_CfWuUTaFaaXY_JME\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WWL-TV reported<\/a>.<br \/>She was dragged for almost an entire block on North Scott Street, according to the outlet.<br \/>&#8220;Her arm was severed from her body,&#8221; police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said.<br \/>An eyewitness told WWL-TV that the victim was trying to put something in her car when a person \u201cjumped in and kicked her out and she got caught in the wheel well.<br \/>&#8220;I heard screaming, like, &#8216;You&#8217;re about to die&#8217; screaming!&#8221; the witness said.<br \/>Nearby resident Todd Eckernc said he saw the speeding car dragging the woman by the seatbelt.<br \/>\u201cThe door had closed on the seatbelt, and she was stuck in it \u2026 I got out of my vehicle screaming, \u2018Please stop!\u2019 Other neighbors were also screaming,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox8live.com\/2022\/03\/22\/she-was-screaming-please-let-her-go-neighbors-recount-brutal-violent-mid-city-carjacking-that-killed-woman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told Fox 8<\/a>.<br \/>Another neighbor who had been walking in the area described the gruesome scene.<br \/>\u201cShe was screaming, and she was screaming to please let her go and then they slowed down and opened the door to kick her out,\u201d Leanne Mascar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox8live.com\/2022\/03\/22\/she-was-screaming-please-let-her-go-neighbors-recount-brutal-violent-mid-city-carjacking-that-killed-woman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told Fox 8<\/a>.<br \/>\u201cAs soon as I saw her, I screamed. I just started running for her &#8212; I thought if I could somehow, I don\u2019t know what I could do, but I thought if I could dislodge her from this car \u2026 when I looked down her body was already there, and her arm was &#8230; It\u2019s just not something you expect to see,\u201d she said.<br \/>\u201cShe was laying there naked, and I thought the indignity she just suffered, it was already too much,\u201d Mascar added.<br \/>Her husband, Mark Mascar, told the outlet: \u201cJust to sit beside a woman who\u2019s a mother or grandmother and watch her fade away, as my wife said, we were praying.<br \/>\u201cI was telling her to hang in there because every time I heard a siren, I was hoping and praying it was the ambulance. I kept telling her to hang in there, breathing, her eyes were moving. I\u2019ve never seen something so horrific,\u201d Mark added.<br \/>Police recovered the stolen vehicle about 13 blocks away, but the four carjackers escaped and are still being sought.<br \/>Feguson asked for help from the public.<br \/>&#8220;Someone knew something before it was going to occur and now that it has occurred, you know that someone knows that information as well,&#8221; the police superintendent said.<br \/>Tim Levy of the Greater Mid-City Business Association told WWL-TV that \u201cin six months, we\u2019ve gone from some very positive things in Mid-City to \u2026 fear.
