Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares had also <a href=\"https:\/\/wtop.com\/virginia\/2022\/03\/va-ag-miyares-asks-judge-to-dismiss-aclu-mask-mandate-suit-deny-injunction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked the judge to dismiss the suit<\/a>, which was filed by the ACLU on behalf of the students.<br \/>In a statement Wednesday, Miyares said that Moon&#8217;s ruling affirms Gov. Glenn Youngkin&#8217;s executive order, and SB739 is &#8220;the law of Virginia and parents have the right to make choices for their children.&#8221;<br \/>The students in the lawsuit <a href=\"https:\/\/wtop.com\/virginia\/2022\/02\/va-parents-of-children-with-disabilities-sue-youngkin-over-mask-mandate-ban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have conditions<\/a> including cancer, cystic fibrosis, moderate-to-severe asthma, Down syndrome, lung conditions and weakened immune systems.
