Indian Railways will provide bedroll, blankets from today &#8211; Mint"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class = \"highlights\">\n<li>While the meals and linen service have been restored, concessions for passengers still remain suspended<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  \tIn a major relief to passengers, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/news\/india\/indian-railways-north-east-frontier-installs-automatic-coach-washing-plant-11646792439311.html\" rel=\"noopener\">Indian Railways<\/a> on Thursday declared that they had decided to resume the services of providing linen, blankets and curtains from today, 10 March.&nbsp;<br \/>  \tIn an order issued to general managers of all railway zones, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/news\/india\/holi-special-indian-railways-extends-this-train-from-mumbai-to-bikaner-11646554917772.html\" rel=\"noopener\">Railway Board<\/a> said the supply of these items would resume with immediate effect.<br \/>  \tThe services had been discontinued owing to the coronavirus pandemic situation that prevailed for almost three years. It spread by transmission and therefore blankets and linen were not being provided.<br \/>  \tThe service to provide <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/politics\/policy\/government-working-on-14-critical-coal-evacuation-rail-projects-11646547360256.html\" rel=\"noopener\">blankets<\/a>, linen and bedroll for AC coaches are set to resume from today, 10 March.&nbsp;<br \/>  \tEven though free bedroll and linen had been discontinued, the Indian Railways had been providing a bedroll kit to passengers who would be interested in buying them. &nbsp;The service was made on a need basis.&nbsp;<br \/>  \tWhile the meals and linen service have been restored, concessions for passengers still remain suspended.
