Thus, it wasn\u2019t a surprise to the market to see its current position. But as the network continues building itself, investors too can expect more going forward.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terra\u2019s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Do Kwon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-03-28\/terra-adds-135-million-in-bitcoin-purchases-to-back-stablecoin\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\">confirmed<\/a> that Terra has, in fact, purchased over $1 billion in <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Bitcoin<\/a> since the end of January. It added another $135 million to the same reserve yesterday.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This money would be used to back Terra\u2019s UST stablecoin as Kwon intends on making the Bitcoin reserve a $10 billion stash. Kwon had already stated that Terra has $3 billion ready to seed the reserves.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of today, the Bitcoin address used by Terra\u2019s Luna Foundation Guard shows the presence of\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">27784.9 BTC, amounting to $1.33 billion.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time yesterday, the world\u2019s oldest crypto exchange, Bitstamp, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Bitstamp\/status\/1508403837828222980\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\">enabled<\/a> deposits and withdrawals for UST.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the while, the native token of the network has been posting green candles, which pushed LUNA to $106.44, its new all-time high. The Sharpe Ratio, which was at 5.97 on 23 March, is currently at 3.04.
