OnePlus has launched<\/a> its new top-end smartphone in markets such as the United States today (March 31, 2022). However, as it turns out, it seems not all units of this flagship are completely equal in specs across its markets<\/a> after all.
The 10 Pro is OnePlus’ inaugural Snapdragon 8 Gen 1<\/a> device, and also the first flagship to switch away from the OEM’s own Warp Charge<\/a> brand to its parent company OPPO’s SuperVOOC<\/a> standard instead. It did so at a rate of 80W<\/a> in China in January 2022, as it now also does in Europe<\/a> and India<\/a>.
However, as now stated on the company’s website, this feature has not made it to the US<\/a>. It seems the company has only managed to get the 65W<\/a> version of SuperVOOC approved in that country, no more than it has done in Canada<\/a>.
50W Warp Charge Wireless<\/a> accessories will still work with the 10 Pro units affected, at least, as the phone does still support AirVOOC<\/a> of this caliber there.
That is not alll for Canadian OnePlus fans, unfortunately: the 10 Pro is priced at US$899<\/a> in the US for an 8GB RAM\/128GB internal storage variant, yet is now CA$1,149 <\/a>(~US$920) for the same configuration.
Finally, OnePlus is out of the Buds Pro<\/a> it was offering as a free gift for pre-orders at the time of writing, and now has Buds Z2s<\/a> as an option instead.
