The pink, spherical creature helped earn Charlie Rosen and Jake Silverman a Grammy for the best arrangement, instrumental, or acapella for their take on <em>Meta Knight\u2019s Revenge<\/em> from the 1996 classic <em>Kirby Superstar<\/em>. The arrangement was performed by the aptly-named 8-Bit Big Band, a 30 to 65-member orchestra that specializes in putting its own spin on video game music.<br \/>In the past, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the8bitbigband.com\/\">8-Bit Big Band<\/a> has performed <em>Zelda\u2019s Lullaby<\/em> from the <em>Ocarina of Time, Fourside<\/em> from <em>Earthbound<\/em>, <em>Big Blue<\/em> from <em>F-Zero<\/em>, and much more. You can listen to the group\u2019s performance of the reimagined <em>Meta Knight\u2019s Revenge<\/em> in the embed above \u2014 it\u2019s a real jazzy take on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NdWckdX4LlE\">original track<\/a>, and dare I say, sounds even better than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BwFgYVC4TWg\">Nintendo\u2019s remake<\/a> included in <em>Super Smash Bros<\/em>.<br \/>Video game music isn\u2019t nominated for a Grammy very often, but this win is especially timely considering the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/3\/23\/22991829\/nintendo-switch-kirby-and-the-forgotten-land-review\">recent release of <em>Kirby and the Forgotten Land<\/em><\/a>.
